What is miraDry®?
miraDry® is a procedure performed by a trained health professional that uses controlled thermal energy to target structures within the underarm associated with sweating and odour.

Temporary effects following treatment may include:
Swelling or tightness
Tenderness, discomfort or pain

Preparing for your miraDry® treatment
Your clinical team will provide instructions specific to your treatment.
4–6 days before treatment
Shave your underarms. A small amount of hair growth should remain by the time of treatment to help identify the treatment area.
The day before treatment
Do not apply deodorant or antiperspirant to the underarms.
On the day of treatment
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing with easy access to the underarm area.
What is recovery like?
Temporary swelling, tenderness, bruising, numbness and altered sensation can occur following treatment.
After your procedure, you will receive specific aftercare instructions. These may include:
Applying a wrapped ice pack to the treated area as required
Keeping the area clean
Avoiding shaving for a period following treatment
Avoiding deodorant or antiperspirant for a period following treatment
Avoiding strenuous exercise for several days
Wearing loose-fitting clothing to minimise irritation
Most temporary effects settle with time, although recovery varies between individuals.
How long does miraDry® treatment take?
The miraDry® procedure generally takes 90 minutes, although treatment time can vary depending on the individual and treatment circumstances.
Your clinic will provide further information about what to expect on the day of your treatment.
Will I need more than one treatment?
The number of treatments required varies between individuals.
Some patients may consider further treatment depending on their individual response and treatment goals.
Your doctor can discuss whether additional treatment may be appropriate for you.
